Visit From THE Irish Tenors (Apologies to Clement Clarke Moore and his "Visit From St Nicholas") Irish Tenors Tour Florida December 13-16, 2008 'Twas two weeks before Christmas and on I-95 We headed south for a long Florida drive ~ Three concerts in a row may sound shocking But you can't stuff a tenor inside a Yule stocking ! Down from St Johns we breezed past Palm Coast Clamoring to see Tenors that we love the most ! Daytona was a blur as we shot W-right by ~ And Titusville thought the space shuttle could fly ! Like bats out of hell onward we drove Grabbing some oranges from a roadside grove, Past Cocoa and Vero and Port St. Lucie, No time for food, we had tenors to see ! A pit-stop was made this side of West Palm, Now just a bit further past Boca Raton, A few miles later we saw our first show ! Coral Springs held the venue in case you don't know; Finbar so cool and having some fun, Cary Grant and Dino all rolled into one ~ Dark wavy hair is his trademark do, Curls on his forehead like corsairs they flew ! Over to Naples this Sunday we rode, By now we were locked in full tenor mode, We hit church traffic like you wouldn't believe, I laid on the horn and prayed the Lord intercede; Anthony was great, as we heard him sing In that voice as clear as a church bell's ring ~ He swished and swooshed as if skiing in snow And winked and waved at the entire front row ! Then on to Sarasota we flew in a flash, Everyone was making the mad tenor dash ! At the Van Wezel the tenors really packed 'em in, All wanted to see those fabulous men! Karl all trim in his white tie and tails Won over the hearts of all the females ! He'll be home for Christmas, as he sang he would, And Yes, Santa Claus, he's been very good ! Englewood saw us at the venue's front door, 3 concerts already and we still wanted more ! 2 shows in one day would the tenors regret? And this whirlwind tour ain't over yet ! Up the next morning at the break of day, "Safe Travels" to the tenors as they fly away ~ Just 2 more nights and they'll be free To head home for Christmas, the best place to be.
